Kristi Tauti

Despite growing up as the middle child of five girls in Oregon, Kristi Tauti had little trouble standing out. Never one to get lost in the shuffle, Kristi excelled in athletics from a young age and displayed a penchant for fitness early on in life. While in High School she competed in several sports including volleyball, basketball, softball, and track and field. Her interests and talents reached beyond the field of athletics as Kristi also excelled in the classroom and was an active member of the choir and concert bands. She played the flute, piccolo, and saxophone. A well rounded young woman to say the least, Kristi stood apart from her classmates in her hometown, as all realized that she was destined for great things. Kristi just had to decide which one of her talents she wanted to pursue.

Kristi decided that her heart lay in the fitness field, and began preparing for a career in health and wellness. Kristi went to college in Hawaii and graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. During this time she continued to live an active lifestyle and worked hard to sculpt her body into a healthy and vibrant shape.

Armed with the knowledge gained from a college degree, Kristi began working at Golds Gym in Hawaii as a personal trainer to share her love of fitness with other people. Soon Kristi had a number of satisfied clients while still maintaining her healthy figure. She began to turn heads out her gym and she was shortly approached by individuals who suggested that she compete in figure competitions. Possessing the good lucks, physique, proper genetics, warm disposition, and strident work ethic that figure competitions require, Kristi was destined for success.

In 2001, Kristi entered her fist fitness competition: the 2001 Hawaiian Hurricane Fitness Challenge. Kristi won both rounds of the fitness challenge and took home the overall title; quite a feat for her first show! Kristi was now firm in her belief that her career ahead lay in the fitness field. Winning the overall title in your first competition is virtually unheard of, but Kristi did it. The fitness world turned their heads and began to take notice that Kristi Tauti was here to stay.

Encouraged by her early success, Kristi continued to train and compete in competitions throughout the country. She competed in the 2002 NPC Mrs. Hawaiian Islands, 2003 Ms. Designer Body Hawaiian, and 2003 NPC Team Universe. Just to be invited to these shows is an accomplishment in itself; and Kristi was quickly becoming one of the most recognized faces in the industry.

She eventually moved out of Hawaii and settled in Oregon. She is married with a young daughter and continues to compete in competitions throughout the country. She won her coveted Pro Card and is currently focused on winning the Ms. Figure Olympia contest; a goal that we have little doubt that she will achieve.

Kristi Tauti is one of the fittest females in the country. She is an accomplished fitness competitor, personal trainer, fitness model, and spokesperson for numerous brands and companies. Everyone who interacts with her recognizes her professionalism, knowledge, and love of fitness.

Lucky for you, she is available to help you reach your fitness goals. She currently trains clients out of the Portland, Oregon area. Something You Should Do Everyday. Push Ups.

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

It’s a simple exercise that doesn’t require a gym or much space and you can do them just about anywhere. The benefits are huge, and they accrue your entire life.

People like Jack LaLanne still do push ups everyday (and he’s in his 90s). Let’s start with the basic push up, which is one of the ultimate fitness barometers. Push ups support my CME theory (cardiovascular, muscle, endurance) because they engage your whole body, calling on muscle groups in the arms, chest, abdomen, hips and legs. A proper push up tightens the whole body with toes and palms on the floor. Even the very fit can be challenged by lifting their own body weight. Once you get in the habit of doing the basic push up everyday, switch it up.

Elevate your lower body on a workout bench while you do push ups. Once you’ve mastered this, lift one leg while you push out those three sets. Place your hands on a ball (while you keep the body elevated). Be sure you bring your chest to the ball each time. Put one hand on a ball while you push up, then roll the ball over to your other hand and repeat the motion.

Ready for something more advanced? Lay a 25 to 45 pound plate flat on the ground. Do a push up, hold your body with one arm up, and push the plate with your other arm, as far as you can. Push that plate across the gym floor. Be sure to engage your legs. If you’re pushing the plate with your left arm, engage your left leg. This is a great variation if you’re pressed for time, since it simultaneously builds strength and endurance.

Grab a buddy and face each other. At the top of the push up, clap opposing hands. Aim high – and don’t forget to do least 10-15 on each side. If you get bored, do your pushups with one arm. Or clap your hands at the top of the push up. Or come see me. We’ll think of something.

Easy Day. Sidney Wilson.

Gina Aliotti

Born in California, Gina Aliotti immersed herself in athletics from a young age. She competed in dance, jazz/hip hop, gymnastics, and field hockey while growing up. Living with a health conscious family, Gina quickly learned the importance of physical health and well being. Her father is a competitive bodybuilder and her home environment was conducive to a life immersed in fitness. Her father would train her with weights in the early mornings before school. Sprouting this environment came Gina Aliotti, a fitness professional that you need to know.

It didn’t take long for Gina to begin competing in fitness shows. In June 2004 she competed in the WBFA and won first place in the teenage division, a truly remarkable feat for a first time competitor. The fitness world realized they had a new star in their midst as Gina began competing throughout the country. Gina won the Tournament of Champions and the West Palm Beach Pro Show. At such a young age, these accomplishments are unheard of. She has her pro card is currently ranked 2nd in the entire world. Not just nationally, internationally.

Recognizing her prowess in the field of fitness, the NPC made Gina the Southern California judge for all of the NPC shows. Those of you prepping for a competition should contact Gina. She not only has the credentials of winning fitness contests, she also provides the insight of a judge who sits on the other side of the table. Rarely will you find a professional of her caliber.

An educated woman, Gina holds a degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State. She uses her knowledge from the classroom to help her clients reach their goals as a personal trainer. Currently residing in San Diego, Gina offers her services as a personal trainer to the surrounding community. She is focused on helping others meet their goals and has advertised on Fittron to reach you.

Maybe you don’t live in San Diego? That’s fine. Gina is available to design online and nutritional programs to work with you remotely. With the advent of the internet the distances between us are shrinking, and you should not let geographic location get in your way of looking and feeling great.

Gina is also a determined entrepreneur and has started her own fitness clothing line: G-Fit Sportswear. With an intimate knowledge of the type of clothing required for an active lifestyle, Gina no doubt has a sportswear line that you need to look into. What better person to design a sportswear line then Gina Aliotti, a fitness superstar.

I Want to Work with a Fitness Professional Who’s Not in My Area

Monday, January 21st, 2008

If you’re a regular visitor to our site you’ve come to realize that we have a bevy of qualified fitness professionals in a number of different states. Maybe you clicked on Jean Jitomir’s profile and saw that she was a Cornell undergrad now studying for her PHD in nutrition at Baylor. You probably said “Wow. Now there’s a qualified professional that I could work with.” But maybe you’re in New Jersey and don’t think you’ll be moving to Waco, Texas anytime soon. That’s ok. Contact Jean anyway. We live in a world without barriers and the internet has, as Thomas Friedman so affectionately put it, made our world “flat.”

With the advent of the internet no one is that far away. Jean can write a nutritional program for you and send it to you each day via email. Additionally, many of our professionals are available for phone consultations and email and online services. Online training is become quite popular and many people are finding they can easily obtain the help of qualified professionals who are not in their immediate area.

All of our professionals have a “contact” tab in their profiles. This displays either their phone number or email. Since it doesn’t cost you anything to contact one of our professionals, why not write them an email and explain your situation. Inform the professional that you are not located near them, but wanted to inquire to see if they had any services that they could offer remotely. You might be presently surprised at the response that you receive.

You won’t find a more qualified nutritionist and health coach then Jean Jitomir. Jean is an Ivy League graduate, registered dietician, and PHD student who practices what she preaches. Competing in, and winning, numerous fitness figure shows throughout the nation, Jean’s resume is truly spectacular.

Jean Jitomir

Maybe you don’t live in Texas. But you’ve got a computer because you found Jean on Fittron, so why not contact her and see if she can set something up. What do you have to lose? It doesn’t cost you anything to search our directory and contact someone. And while you’re at it, browse our other professionals and see if they can offer similar “remote” services. I’m sure you’ll find that they will.
