The Benefits of Drinking Water

Water, water, water. It’s the purest and most vital nutrient on earth. It’s free (save for the $4 bottles that most of us buy at one point or another) and is often overlooked in one’s diet. We focus on the hard foods that we are consuming and the liquids usually take a back seat. That’s a mistake. Water is essential not only for hydration, but for weight loss, skin care, your meta bolism, and overall health.

Everyone should try to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. I’ve heard studies where 80 ounces are recommended but I think that might be pushing it. 64 ounces may seem daunting, but if you replace your morning coffee, your lunchtime juice or soda, and your evening nightcap, I think you’ll find that 64 ounces is very doable. You’ll feel better, you’ll look better, you’ll loose weight, and you’ll be supplying your body with the most vital nutrients it needs. Remember we can’t live without water, there is a reason our bodies crave it.
